Staff on Call is seeking a compassionate and caring Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to temporarily join our team at a beautiful Long-Term Care/ Assisted Living Facility in Kamloops, British Columbia.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced LPN with a passion for providing exceptional care to the elderly. As a Travel Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for performing assessments, planning and implementing personal and nursing care to residents, and supervising care staff to meet resident's needs.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform assessments to identify resident's needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Plan, implement, and provide personal and nursing care to residents, including administering oral and subcutaneous medications as required
  • Directly supervise care staff to ensure resident's needs are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge and background in Dementia care (an asset)
Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $45.00 per hour, plus travel allowance, accommodation, and weekly allowance.

Work Schedule and Location

This is a casual position with varied shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. The work location is at our facility in Kamloops, B.C.
