Job Title: Registered Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Alpha's Bilingual Childcare Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and education to children, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assess the children's development and prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs.
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Order supplies and equipment.
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Perform administrative tasks.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a child care setting.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 30-40 hour workweek. The work environment is physically demanding, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The successful candidate must be punctual, dependable, and have excellent oral communication skills. They must also be a team player and have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and education to children.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.
