Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Tiny Hoppers Early Learning Centre.

Job Summary:

The ECE Assistant will provide support to our Early Childhood Educators in creating a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and grow. This role involves assisting with daily routines, planning and implementing activities, and maintaining a clean and organized classroom.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Early Childhood Educators in planning and implementing activities that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Support children in their daily routines, including bath time, mealtime, and rest periods.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized classroom, including ordering supplies and equipment.
  • Support Early Childhood Educators in keeping records and submitting written observations on children.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent position, 35 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
