About the Opportunity

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a seasoned retail leader to fill the role of Leadership Retail Store Director. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, executing marketing directives, and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Growth: Lead the store team to develop and implement strategies that drive sales growth, expand our consumer base, and increase brand awareness.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain high store standards, ensuring accurate inventory levels, effective replenishment, organization, and shrink control.
  • Team Development: Inspire, educate, guide, and develop diverse associates and keyholders to meet short- and long-range growth plans/career paths within the store, field, and general office.
  • Budget Management: Deliver on operating budgets and manage expense control within division guidelines to deliver positive results and meet profitability expectations.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with Area/District Manager providing relevant market information and employee successes and challenges.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree, or applicable certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 years functional experience in retail leadership, managing individual contributors, and departments.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills; ability to resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems and drive decisions that impact finances, efficiency, and effectiveness of the store. Proficient in operating a Point of Sales (POS) system and various software packages.

  • Salary: $65,300-$87,100 per year.

Working Conditions:

The Leadership Retail Store Director will frequently work in a fast-paced, active environment that requires constant movement and may involve physical demands such as lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs. The position also requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
