Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as managing kitchen operations and maintaining inventory and records.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen operations, including ordering supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory and records, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Catering Firm Operations: Assist in the planning and execution of catering events, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Cuisine Specialties: Prepare and cook a variety of cuisines, including South Indian, Canadian, Greek, East Indian, Vegetarian, and International dishes.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Demonstrate a client-focused approach, dependability, organization, reliability, and teamwork skills.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Catering firm.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
