About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at HallyCraft The Buka. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, including special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain the highest standards of quality.
  • Staff Training and Supervision: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective service.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets to ensure a high level of presentation and service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Languages: Proficiency in Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa languages.
  • Work Setting: Experience working in a restaurant or urban area setting.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.

  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and stand for extended periods.
