Hotel Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at the Novotel Toronto Centre.

Your Role
In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the front office team, ensuring smooth check-ins, guest satisfaction, and efficient room operations. You will work closely with the Guest Services Manager to support training, scheduling, and performance management. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the registration and check-out of guests, processing customer payments and supporting team members as needed.
- Act as a role model in service vision and standards, encouraging teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Support training on systems, security, cash handling procedures, and service standards.
- Resolve guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously.
- Assist with scheduling, payroll, coaching, performance management, hiring, performance reviews, and training for all Guest Services team members.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in a customer-facing and/or hospitality position is preferred.
- You must be highly interpersonal, comfortable engaging with guests, visitors, vendors, and team members.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-pressure environment, maintaining composure and objectivity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Computer literacy in property operating systems such as Opera and Maestro, as well as proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), is an asset.
