Director of Rooms Operations

At Kimpton Saint George Hotel, we're committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving business success. As our Director of Rooms Operations, you'll play a critical role in achieving this goal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Front Office and Housekeeping leadership teams to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest service.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth and maximize hotel profitability.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Front Office team, including Manager on Duty responsibilities and support for Housekeeping team.
  • Assist General Manager in directing and leading all hotel operations, ensuring a high level of guest service and setting a positive tone for the team.
  • Support financial management, ensuring expenses stay within budget and revenue management practices are in place to maximize hotel revenues.
  • Identify capital needs and support maintenance of the hotel's overall condition.
  • Develop and innovate guest satisfaction programs for Housekeeping and Front Desk.
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of high-performing hotel department managers.
  • Work closely with Restaurant, Catering, Sales, and Banquet teams to ensure guest needs are met.
  • Promote safety and well-being of guests and colleagues by having a thorough knowledge of the hotel's crisis and emergency procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the hotel industry, with at least 2 years of leadership experience in both Housekeeping and Front Office departments.
  • In-depth knowledge of front office procedures.
  • Diploma/degree in hotel management is an asset.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, developed through researching, evaluating, and presenting arguments and data.
  • Customer Service skills.
