Director of Rooms Operations

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Front Office and Housekeeping leadership teams to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest service.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth and maximize hotel profitability.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Front Office team, including Manager on Duty responsibilities and support for Housekeeping team.
  • Assist General Manager in directing and leading all hotel operations, ensuring a high level of guest service and setting a positive tone for the team.
  • Support financial management, ensuring expenses stay within budget and revenue management practices are in place to maximize hotel revenues.
  • Identify capital needs and maintain the overall condition of the hotel, ensuring it remains a desirable destination for guests.
  • Develop and innovate guest satisfaction programs for Housekeeping and Front Desk, driving loyalty and repeat business.
  • Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team of hotel department managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with Restaurant, Catering, Sales, and Banquet teams to ensure seamless guest experiences and exceed expectations.
  • Promote safety and well-being of guests and colleagues, ensuring a thorough knowledge of hotel crisis and emergency procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the hotel industry, with at least 2 years of leadership experience in both Housekeeping and Front Office departments.
  • In-depth knowledge of front office procedures and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Diploma/degree in hotel management is an asset.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with common household chemicals.
