About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Mekong Restaurant. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Beverage Service
    • Deliver clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables
    • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
    • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
    • Package take-out food
    • Portion and wrap foods
  • Customer Service
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
    • Take customers' orders
  • Inventory and Stock Management
    • Keep records of the quantities of food used
    • Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient service
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
Working Conditions
  • Permanent position
  • 30-40 hours per week
  • English language required
