Employee Relations Manager - Indigenous Peoples

About the Role

This is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote cultural sensitivity and inclusion within our organization. They will work closely with our Indigenous Employee Resource Group and other stakeholders to identify and address barriers to inclusion and develop solutions to promote greater diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote cultural sensitivity and inclusion within Scotiabank
  • Work closely with the Indigenous Employee Resource Group to identify and address barriers to inclusion
  • Develop and deliver training programs to promote cultural awareness and understanding
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees on cultural sensitivity and inclusion
