Job Summary

The Senior Manager of Field Eyecare Operations plays a pivotal role in ensuring comprehensive coverage within a geographic area. This position is responsible for recruiting Optometrists for various store types, articulating the value proposition of Target Optical and Pearle Vision, and executing eyecare initiatives to enhance patient experiences.

The ideal candidate will possess strong influencing and negotiating skills, as well as the ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively. With a strong background in physician/optometric practice management, franchising, or similar experience, this individual will drive business growth, foster brand loyalty, and increase patient access.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with ODs, RMs, Optometric Schools, and attend industry events
  • Develop and maintain a network of diverse industry contacts
  • Optimize coverage, ensuring no stores without a doctor and no dark days requiring coverage
  • Coach and influence RMs & ODs to ensure eyecare availability meets patient demand
  • Accountable for building a database of OD contacts within CRM system, creating an OD talent pipeline, and assisting with OD career planning
  • Maintain understanding of innovative recruitment tools, technologies, and best practices
  • Drive patient access and business results by understanding optometry skills, TAB, Digital Suite, and state licensing expertise
  • Responsible for ensuring all Doctor onboarding activities have been completed in alignment with brand standards
  • Maintain knowledge of state regulatory requirements for optometric practice
  • Ensure all stores/doctors are in compliance with company, HIPAA, PIPEDA, and other privacy policies
  • Keep track of upcoming lease renewals, ensure timely completion, and submission of all necessary forms/documents related to changes in lease terms
  • Ensure sublease doctors are aware of MVC plans in their area and encourage participation
  • Mine news and key websites for Optometric intelligence

Requirements

  • BA/BS in business, healthcare, or related field
  • 8+ years of multi-unit responsibility for physician/optometric practice management, franchising, or similar experience
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Strong communicator and listener
  • Problem-solving ability
  • 50%-75% travel
