Job Overview

This permanent role is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and falls under our Fret & Mining division. The successful candidate will report directly to the Lead Railway Engineer.

The estimated salary for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise in rail engineering, maintenance, associated rail systems, and operations to colleagues and clients.
  • Manage and carry out rail operations analysis mandates using rail simulation tools like AnyLogic.
  • Develop and manage consulting mandates within the discipline.
  • Participate in drafting service offers for railway operations, including methodology, cost estimation, and work methods.
  • Coordinate and provide technical expertise for preliminary or detailed design of railway infrastructure.
Qualifications

We require a Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil or railway engineering and at least 10 years of experience in track engineering positions.

Candidates must have knowledge of various railway design software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, as well as railway simulation software like AnyLogic.

A strong understanding of UIC, EN, CN, CP, Transport Canada, and Quebec codes and regulations is also essential.

Excellent communication skills and fluency in French and English are required, along with familiarity with working in a BIM environment.
