About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Architect to join our team at Dillon Consulting Limited. As a Senior Architect, you will play a key role in leading and managing projects, providing technical direction, and contributing to the growth and development of our architectural practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members, including technical direction, training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Project Management: Manage and assist with projects for government, institutional, and industrial clients, focusing on environmental, industrial, and commercial infrastructure projects across Canada, as well as institutional and residential projects in Canada's far north.
  • Business Development: Assist in developing client relationships and business growth opportunities.
  • Design and Technical Direction: Provide design input, technical direction, and instruction to other staff members.
  • Field Investigations and Assessments: Conduct field investigations, condition assessments, asset management audits, space needs studies, preliminary and detailed design, contract document preparation, and contract administration for various projects.
  • Business Development and Marketing: Lead business development activities, including proposal preparation and presentations.
  • Professional Development and Community Involvement: Contribute to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees, as well as periodic participation and presentations at industry and professional conferences.
  • Travel and Collaboration: Travel to other business locations and Dillon offices to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in Architecture.
  • Licensure: Must be licensed to practice as an Architect or eligible to be licensed within six months.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of related work experience in consulting, with a proven track record of creative collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Demonstrated commitment to design excellence, team engagement, and client satisfaction; critical thinking and problem-solving skills; excellent communication skills; and the ability to mentor and coach team members.
