About the Role:

Dillon Consulting Limited is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Architect to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. As a Senior Architect, you will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects, gaining valuable exposure and experience in the consulting engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Career Development: Provide leadership and contribute to the career development of staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Project Management: Manage and assist with projects for our government, institutional, and industrial clients with a focus on environmental, industrial, and commercial infrastructure across Canada, as well as institutional/residential projects in Canada's far north.
  • Design and Technical Direction: Provide design input, technical direction, and instruction to other staff.
  • Field Investigations and Design: Conduct field investigations, condition assessments, asset management audits, space needs studies, preliminary and detailed design, contract document preparation, and contract administration for a wide variety of projects.
  • Professional Development: Contribute to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees and periodic participation and presentations at industry/professional conferences.

Requirements:

  • Education: A degree in Architecture.
  • Licensure: Must be licensed to practice as an Architect, or eligible to be licensed within six months.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 Years of Experience: Minimum 10 years related work experience in consulting.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Proven experience in creative collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects.
  • Low Embodied Carbon Projects: Experience with low embodied carbon projects is highly desirable.
  • Low Embodied Carbon Building Design: Understanding of low embodied carbon building design is highly desirable.
  • Proposal Writing: Experience in proposal writing is highly desirable.
