Role Summary
Dillon's Transportation & Facilities division is seeking a Senior Architect to be part of our diverse team of experts. This role presents the chance to engage in innovative projects while gaining significant insights and experience within the consulting engineering sector. Key Responsibilities
Your Daily Activities May Include:
- Providing leadership and contributing to the professional growth of team members through guidance, training suggestions, and mentorship.
- Overseeing and participating in projects for governmental, institutional, and industrial clients, focusing on environmental infrastructure, including water treatment facilities and commercial projects across Canada.
- Assisting in cultivating client relationships and driving business development.
- Offering design insights, technical guidance, and support to fellow team members.
- Conducting field assessments, condition evaluations, asset management reviews, space requirement analyses, and comprehensive design and contract documentation.
- Leading business development initiatives, including proposal writing and presentations.
- Enhancing Dillon's corporate visibility through active involvement in professional organizations and participation in industry conferences.
- Traveling to various business locations as required.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A degree in Architecture.
- Must hold a valid Architect license or be eligible for licensure within a specified timeframe.
- Proven dedication to design excellence, team collaboration, and client satisfaction.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on innovative problem-solving.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in a consulting environment.
- Demonstrated success in collaborative efforts with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
- Experience with low carbon footprint projects is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with sustainable building design principles is a plus.
- Experience in crafting proposals is beneficial.
