Restaurant Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Team Lead to join our team at AMI TEA SAINT JOHN.
About the Role:
- This is a full-time permanent position with an estimated salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year.
- The successful candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food services industry.
- The ideal candidate will be a leader who can motivate and guide a team to achieve exceptional results.
- This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with MS Office and knowledge of food safety regulations is an asset.
About the Responsibilities:
Job DescriptionThe Restaurant Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness. This includes:
- Evaluating daily operations and making adjustments as needed;
- Monitoring revenues and determining labor costs;
- Modifying food preparation methods and menu prices according to budget requirements;
- Recruiting, training, and developing staff members to ensure they meet performance expectations;
- Setting staff work schedules and ensuring efficient use of resources;
- Maintaining accurate records of sales, inventory, and employee performance;
- Providing excellent customer service and resolving customer complaints in a professional manner;
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed and adhering to all relevant laws and regulations;
- Negotiating arrangements with suppliers and managing relationships with clients;
About the Qualifications:
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- A Safe Food Handling certificate and Food Safety Certificate;
- Knowledge of MS Office and experience working in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Able to work effectively in a team and provide leadership and guidance to staff members;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively;
- Willingness to travel and relocate if required.
