We are seeking a seasoned leader in rental operations to join our team at Manpower Canada as a Rental General Manager. This is a key role that requires strategic planning and execution of rental fleet management, collaboration with key stakeholders, and driving asset performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Fleet Planning and Optimization: Oversee and optimize fleet planning, including balancing fleet additions, disposals, and forecasting.
- Fleet Optimization: Ensure overall fleet optimization by analyzing key metrics and making data-driven decisions.
- Special Projects: Lead and assist in special projects, managing rental reports, and tracking fleet utilization.
- ROI Reviews: Conduct monthly ROI reviews, identify and address underperforming assets, and recommend corrective actions.
- Daily Operations: Supervise daily rental operations, manage growth, and handle financial reporting and business metrics.
- Rental Business and Marketing Plans: Develop and implement rental business and marketing plans, manage commissions, and enhance continuous improvement within operations.
- Annual Budgets and Staff Training: Build and manage annual rental budgets, oversee staff training, and maintain safety and risk management standards.
- Experience: Extensive experience (3-5 years) in a similar role within the heavy equipment or construction industry, with 5-10 years in a leadership capacity.
- Expertise: Proven expertise in fleet management, operational leadership, and financial oversight.
- Communication and Team Management: Exceptional communication and team management skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Organizational and Planning Abilities: Strong organizational and planning abilities, with a mindset for continuous improvement and business acumen.
- Education: Relevant post-secondary degree/diploma in Commerce, Business Management, or related field.
- Leadership and Growth: Demonstrated ability to manage and grow rental operations with a focus on high performance and safety.
- Market Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the local market and experience in sales-driven environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a solid understanding of industry-specific software and practices.
