Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager - Rentals to join our team at Oakenequipment. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the rental operations, fleet optimization, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve rental operations, fleet utilization, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the President and Branch Managers to establish rental fleet planning and operations.
  • Manage the growth of rental operations, including forecasting capital acquisition, annual budgeting, staffing, marketing, and commercial terms.
  • Optimize fleet utilization, including balancing adds, disposals, and forecasting.
  • Manage rental reports, including utilization, lost rent management, and fleet transfers.
  • Develop and own rental business and marketing plans.
  • Assemble machine rollout packages and work with Used Equipment to maintain the Bobcat Used website for rental equipment.
  • Manage staff training and development, health and safety, and risk management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity within the construction or heavy equipment industry.
  • Highly safety conscious with 5+ years experience in the heavy equipment industry.
  • Influential leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and create an engaging, high-performing environment.
  • Superior planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid business acumen with the ability to oversee financial operations.
  • Customer-centric with strong interpersonal skills and relationship building capacity.
