About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Information System (DIIS) Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our IM/IT department, you will be responsible for the effective operation of the Radiology Information System(s), Picture Archiving & Communication System (PACS), and various DIIS-supported applications.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic imaging and IT, with experience in software maintenance, implementation, and user education. You will collaborate with our IMIT team and key stakeholders to meet deadlines for upgrades and implementations, and interact with other hospital departments to ensure seamless integration.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a degree or diploma in a diagnostic imaging discipline, and registration with the Nova Scotia Medical Radiation Technologists and the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists. Previous experience in IT and digital imaging is considered a strong asset, as is familiarity with medical equipment and terminology.

The ideal candidate will have strong presentation skills, the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve, and experience training staff members on new or current practices or equipment. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. The hourly rate is $33.47 - $41.83, with a comprehensive benefits package.
