Job Overview

This part-time position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for residents at one of our Surrey area buildings. The successful candidate will work weekends from 8am to 4pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high cleanliness standards by managing garbage, parking areas, amenity rooms, entrances, elevators, and other spaces.
  • Evaluate lobby, hallway, and mailbox cleanliness, ensuring they are well-maintained and organized.
  • Monitor elevator functionality, cleanliness, and lighting, reporting any issues promptly.
  • IDentify and report repairs and maintenance needs, as well as inventory status, to supervisors.
  • Ensure effective garbage disposal and cleaning of common areas, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
  • Enhance procedures continuously and address requests to improve building operations effectively.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents through respectful interactions.
Requirements
  • At least one year of industrial/commercial/hotel cleaning experience is required; strata experience is an asset.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and communicate in English.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to clean and monitor the property, including stairs, hallways, parkade, interior, and exterior of the building, requiring lots of walking.
  • Ability to physically pull and manage garbage bins.
  • Capacity to work in various environmental conditions (wind, heat, cold, rain, etc.).
