Job Description:

As a Commercial Property Operations Manager at Spirit Omega Inc., you will be responsible for managing staff and assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage annual maintenance budget and budget for preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Oversee tenant-related duties and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct building project inspections and have knowledge of building systems and related statutory safety regulations.
  • Train and supervise employees, and participate in training to comply with new or existing laws.
  • Maintain a professional, compassionate, and sensitive disposition, and work effectively in a team environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Educated in a field related to property management.
  • Three years of experience in property management, including knowledge of residential property management services for affordable housing delivery.
  • Proven experience with BC housing rent calculation and maintenance guidelines, and working with construction trades/maintenance.
  • Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act, and policies and procedures related to social housing management.
  • Familiarity with federal and provincial social housing programs, and knowledge of support services and agencies in the Surrey and Fraser Valley Area.
  • A valid BC Driver's License, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle.
  • A valid first aid certificate.
  • The ability to perform related duties, and successfully pass a police record check and vulnerability record check.
