Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roller Operator to join our team at Linxus Group. As a key member of our paving division, you will be responsible for safely operating a roller to compact asphalt to the desired depth and smoothness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely Operate Heavy Equipment: Ensure the safe operation of the roller and other heavy equipment on the work site.
  • Compaction and Maintenance: Perform daily preventative maintenance inspections and safety checks to identify potential mechanical issues and advise the Foreman.
  • Team Player: Behave in a manner that ensures the safety of yourself, your co-workers, and others on the work site.
  • Communication and Reporting: Report unsafe work, unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries, and near misses to the supervisor and participate in the investigative process.
  • Adherence to Company Policies: Comply with established company policies and procedures and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience operating a roller.
  • Certifications: Active Standard First Aid Certification and Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) Certification.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to work in extreme heat, wear CSA-approved safety boots, and sit for long periods.
Work Environment

As a Roller Operator at Linxus Group, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on safety and quality. You will be required to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, during the work season from April to December.
