Job Summary

The Asphalt Roller Operator is a key member of the ALSA Road Construction team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rollers and compactors. This role requires a strong understanding of asphalt and related materials, as well as the ability to distribute, break down, and compress asphalt surfaces to meet contract specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate rollers and compactors to achieve optimal asphalt surface quality
  • Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and deadlines
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve asphalt surface quality and reduce waste

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in the road construction industry
  • Working knowledge of asphalt and related materials
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driver's abstract (less than 3 convictions & less than 7 demerits)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong physical stamina and coordination
