Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Development Associate to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting the Senior Development Manager in all stages of the development process, from initial planning to project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site investigations and evaluations to ensure project feasibility.
  • Assist in researching community ordinances and maps to identify potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with consultants to prepare information regarding requirements and special conditions.
  • Research availability and capacity of utilities and/or what is required to bring utilities to site.
  • Prepare charts of potential planning & development costs through the respective permit approvals process.
  • Understand project schedules and assist in ensuring timely completion.
  • Obtain site development permits from municipal authorities.
  • Progress and monitor approval processes.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • University degree (Masters preferred) in a related subject (planning, land economics, architecture, engineering etc.).
  • 1-3 years of development and planning experience.
  • Knowledge of the Municipal planning system as it applies to development and construction.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks on multiple projects.
  • Effective time management and detail-oriented skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
