Centretown Citizens Ottawa Corporation (CCOC) is a tenant and member-directed non-profit housing organization committed to creating, maintaining, and promoting housing for low and moderate-income individuals. As a key member of the CCOC leadership team, the Rental Director plays a vital role in strategic planning and execution of departmental initiatives.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will oversee leasing and rent collection for all rental units, ensuring timely rent-up and adherence to subsidy budgets.
  • They will manage partnerships with community agencies, providing policy advice to the Board of Directors and committees on rental functions.
  • The Rental Director will supervise a team, including the Rental Manager, Rent Collections Officers, and casual employees, providing direction and control over the Department.

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented individual with experience in residential tenancies management, non-profit housing, and associated legislation and trends. The successful candidate will be responsible for making strategic decisions that impact the organization's objectives and financial performance.

Requirements
  • 7 years of related work experience, with expertise in rental property management, non-profit housing, and government policies and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, make strategic decisions, and implement effective solutions.
  • Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity with Yardi Voyager and RGI/Rent Subsidy administration considered assets.
  • Advanced verbal communication skills in English, with intermediate written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.

Benefits include a competitive salary range of $83,347 - $120,000 per year, based on experience, as well as hybrid and flexible work arrangements, group insurance, and a supplementary medical plan.
