About the Role

The University of Fredericton is seeking a highly skilled and creative Software Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our learning solutions development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing world-class e-learning projects for various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Learning Content Editors, Graphic Designers, and LMS Administrators to create custom, cross-platform learning solutions.
  • Design and Develop Interactive Content: Collaborate with Designers to create responsive UI-UX architecture and interactive activities such as click and displays, scenarios, simulations, etc.
  • LMS Administration: Upload and test learning content on internal systems, create user accounts for students/clients, and deliver login information.
  • Course Maintenance and Improvement: Update and improve existing courses as required to ensure they meet quality standards.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Moodle, VSCode, git, Azure, H5P, gulp, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Programming Languages: Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and SASS.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to take initiative, work effectively in a team environment, and communicate effectively with all levels within the company and across multiple disciplines.
