Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Indigenous Student Engagement Program Coordinator at Camosun College.

About the Role

The Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and services that support the academic success and well-being of Indigenous students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement program plans, activities, and events to engage Indigenous students in their academic journey;
  • Foster partnerships with faculty, staff, and community organizations to enhance student outcomes;
  • Provide guidance and support to Indigenous students on academic, personal, and cultural matters;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain inclusive practices within the college community;
  • Analyze data to inform program planning and evaluation.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, social work, or a combination of relevant experience and education);
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Indigenous populations, preferably in an educational setting;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous cultures, histories, and contemporary issues;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
