About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team at the District School Board of Niagara. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide educational support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and special education programs.
  • Assist teachers and other educational staff with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment.
  • Support students with diverse needs, including those with physical, emotional, or learning disabilities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably in a support role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including standing, walking, and lifting.
