Key Responsibilities- Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the surgical process.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement anesthesia plans.
- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations, to identify potential risks and develop strategies for mitigating them.
- Administer and monitor anesthesia medications, ensuring accurate dosing and minimizing side effects.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and policies.
- Eligibility for FRCPC certification (Anesthesiology) and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.
- Experience with regional anesthesia is an asset.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including call, and participate in an equal share of all shifts.
