Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled Anesthesiologists to join our team at Burnaby Hospital, a leading healthcare facility in the region. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the surgical process.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement anesthesia plans.
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations, to identify potential risks and develop strategies for mitigating them.
  • Administer and monitor anesthesia medications, ensuring accurate dosing and minimizing side effects.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and policies.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for FRCPC certification (Anesthesiology) and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.
  • Experience with regional anesthesia is an asset.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including call, and participate in an equal share of all shifts.
