Job Title: District Sales Executive

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven District Sales Executive to join our team at Expeditors International of Washington, Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an assigned territory and develop a deep understanding of potential customers and competitors in this area.
  • Utilize our Customer Relationship Management tool to track customer interactions and sales performance.
  • Collaborate with local and regional Product, Service, Geo, and Knowledge Management resources to create value-added solutions for customer logistics needs.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, diagrams, and cost-benefit calculations to support customer sales efforts.
  • Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing necessary customer paperwork.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to enhance selling skills and stay up-to-date on Expeditors' products and services.
  • Engage with local trade groups and associations to build relationships and stay informed about industry trends.
  • Travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment and make quick decisions in response to changing conditions.
  • Self-motivated with a sense of urgency for goal achievement.
  • Previous sales experience in the 3PL industry is an asset.
