We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our Building Operations team at Pomerleau Construction. As a key member of our projects team, you will manage large-scale building and infrastructure projects, working closely with our client groups and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow and maintain strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project goals and vision.
  • Support project management teams to develop and drive the construction schedule, ensuring completion dates and milestones are met.
  • Apply your problem-solving skills to recommend innovative methods that increase effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring project excellence and productivity.
  • Utilize your experience in trade partner selection and coordination of their activities.
  • Apply your financial management experience to plan, manage, and respect project budgets, costs, and associated purchasing.
  • Share your knowledge and be a role model through mentorship opportunities with project team members.
  • Keep the lines of communication open regarding project status and updates.
  • Be an expert in risk management to ensure any associated project risk is minimized.
  • Take pride in compiling and completing company-wide project reports.
  • Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection on the project.
  • Effectively apply the requirements of the project-specific safety standards to promote Pomerleau's HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations, and codes with all employees and trade partners on the project.
  • Celebrate project success and completion and be a key member of the project wrap-up process.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in Project Management in the construction industry.
  • University degree/technology diploma in engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
  • A proven track record of project leadership, success, and team collaboration.
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project, and technical issues to bring the project to successful completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction and project methodologies, financial management, as well as building codes and associated legislation.
  • Role model status for health and safety as well as quality.
  • A passion to develop, maintain, and execute the project schedule.
  • Good computer skills and previous experience with scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of the market.
