Salary
$39.00 per hour, as per the ONA Collective Agreement.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a RN working in this dynamic environment, you will be involved in the care of complex patient populations, including those suffering from trauma, cardiac emergencies, or other severe medical conditions. Your expertise and critical thinking skills will be essential in ensuring a positive patient care journey.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Graduate of a recognized ICU/CCU post-graduate program
- Current Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and demonstrated ongoing competence through annual re-certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification and demonstrated ongoing competence through re-certification within the past two years
- Certification in IV Therapy with demonstrated ongoing competence
- Demonstrated experience in the ICU/CCU setting within the past 12 months
- Ability to function independently in the ICU/CCU and Medical/Surgical setting
- Familiarity with First Nations culture is an asset
- Reliable attendance record
