Job Summary

The Stewarding Supervisor is a key member of our housekeeping team at New Castle Hotels & Resorts. As a Stewarding Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen facilities, training and motivating your team to meet high standards, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by Example - As a Stewarding Supervisor, you will be a role model for your team, demonstrating a commitment to cleanliness, safety, and excellence in all aspects of your work.
  • Attention to Detail - You will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the cleanliness of our kitchen facilities, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with our high standards.
  • Safety and Security - You will be responsible for training your team on safety and security procedures, ensuring that all staff members are aware of and follow our hotel's established policies and procedures.
  • Team Management - You will be responsible for supervising and motivating your team to meet our high standards, providing coaching and training as needed to ensure that your team is equipped to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements

  • Experience - At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Certifications - Current Safe Food Handler Certification required.
  • Skills - Familiarity with Ecolab chemicals, correct cleaning and sanitizing procedures, proficiency with standard cleaning equipment, and ability to use computers and related software.
  • Physical Demands - Ability to perform medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning, bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels, and have near vision - the ability to see details at close range.
  • Communication - Must be able to multitask and possess good communication skills in English.
  • Availability - Flexible availability for morning (AM) and late shifts (PM), covering 5 days across Monday-Sunday.
