As a Private Banking Associate at Scotiabank, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in credit-focused banking and work with high-net worth clients to help them meet their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and provide personalized banking solutions.
- Conduct credit underwriting and risk assessments to ensure the integrity of the bank's lending portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive financial solutions to clients.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Completed undergraduate or master's degree by June 2025, or relevant work experience in building client relationships and providing financial advice.
- Completed a course of study that enables registration with the appropriate provincial securities commission to obtain a license to sell mutual funds.
- Strong sales and relationship-focused mindset, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence, persuade, and build consensus, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- A comprehensive training program to develop your skills in private banking and wealth management.
- A path to completing the Certified Financial Planning Certification.
- Placement in a Scotiabank Wealth Management Private Banking office and the opportunity to work with a Private Banking team.
- A training curriculum to support you in preparing for a client-facing role in Private Banking.
- Ongoing support during the program through various touch points with the Program Lead, Wealth leaders, and your local Manager.
