Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite and manage a portfolio of commercial insurance policies for middle market clients, ensuring that all policies are accurately priced and meet the client's needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all client needs are met.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team to develop and implement underwriting strategies and guidelines that meet the company's goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve underwriting practices and policies.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new products and services, and provide input on underwriting guidelines and pricing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting, with a focus on middle market clients.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with brokers and clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
