Veterinarians play a vital role in animal healthcare, and we are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our Critical Care team at VCA Animal Hospitals.

About the Position:

We are currently recruiting for two permanent, full-time Criticalists to work in our small animal specialty referral and 24-hour emergency practice. This is an excellent opportunity for veterinarians who wish to enjoy the quality of life offered by the West Coast and the Coastal Mountains.

The ideal candidate will be board-certified (AVCECC or ECVECC) or residency trained (and eligible to sit for board examination) in Critical Care. A valid DVM degree and licensure in the province of BC are also required. In addition, strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing high-quality patient care as part of a dynamic team of veterinary professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Participating in medical library, special projects, and other leadership roles within the organization.
Benefits:
  • A competitive salary range of $140,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience.
