Critical Care Nurse Educator Opportunity at Providence Health Care

 

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Providence Health Care as a Critical Care Nurse Educator. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

 

About the Role:

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions of care and provide education to patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and health promotion.

 

You will also contribute to the development and implementation of education programs for nurses and other healthcare professionals, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills required to deliver high-quality care in critical care settings.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions of care
  • Provide education to patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and health promotion
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of education programs for nurses and other healthcare professionals

 

Requirements:

 

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

 

Education:

  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of critical care nursing practices and standards

 

Vaccination Policy:

 

All employees working for Providence Health Care must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

 

Salary:

 

$123,456 per annum, based on experience.
