About the Role

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support to our business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal clients to resolve complex commercial disputes and negotiate agreements;
  • Manage litigation files worldwide, supervising external counsel and developing effective strategies;
  • Attend depositions, trials, and mediations as needed;
  • Handle discovery and e-discovery phases of complex litigation matters;
  • Report to the management team on litigation progress and strategy;
  • Assume a leading role in risk management and provide guidance to internal clients;
  • Use leadership and soft skills to influence decisions and outcomes;
Requirements
  • Practicing member of a Canadian province or US state bar, preferably the Quebec Bar;
  • At least 5 years of relevant expertise in commercial litigation, preferably at a renowned law firm;
  • Leadership skills, autonomy, and excellent judicial instincts;
  • Ability to evolve in a highly technical environment with engineering/aerospace concepts;
  • Comfortable managing a busy schedule and traveling for business;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills;
  • Interest in new technologies and ability to work in a constantly evolving environment;
  • Perfectly bilingual (French, English) both orally and in writing;
