About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods. They will also possess excellent oral communication skills and be able to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cooking and Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, order supplies and equipment, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Inventory and Records: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and clean kitchen and work areas.
  • Operations Management: Manage kitchen operations, including supervising staff and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skill: Excellent oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth.
