Head Chef for Traditional South Indian Cuisine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Shayona Charities Inc. in preparing and serving traditional South Indian cuisine.
Key Responsibilities- Determine food portion sizes and costs, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements, considering seasonal availability and customer preferences.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining high standards of quality and freshness.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, adhering to established recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas regularly, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed, optimizing inventory management and reducing waste.
- Clean kitchen and work areas thoroughly, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for staff and customers.
- Provide expert advice on food preparation, storage, and safety protocols to colleagues and management.
- 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Permanent employment opportunity with 40 hours of work per week.
- Fluency in English language is required.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
