Job Title: Department Secretary

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time, permanent Department Secretary to work in outpatient Geriatric Mental Health Services (GMHS). The successful candidate will work collaboratively with an inter-professional team to provide administrative/clerical duties to a team of physicians and clinicians in order to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document preparation and inter-programmatic correspondence
  • Responding to internal and external inquiries
  • Taking minutes
  • Maintaining office supplies
  • Compiling data
  • Booking and rescheduling appointments

Requirements:

  • A one-year Community College diploma in Office Administration or a related discipline
  • Two (2) years of secretarial/administrative experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Working Environment:

The GMHS is embracing the CAMH strategic plan and renewal of service delivery models. This position works closely with clinicians, psychiatrists, community service providers, client's representatives, clients and families, both in person and over the telephone.
