At the University Health Network, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Gastroenterology department, working closely with medical professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Job Summary

This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing secretarial and clerical services, including word processing, data entry, and maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have a certificate in secretarial arts or equivalent experience, with a minimum of two years' related work experience. A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software and excellent communication skills are also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to medical professionals, including scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence, and maintaining patient records.
  • Perform word processing, data entry, and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient files and departmental reports.
  • Develop and implement effective systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity within the department.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.
