Job Overview:
CN is a world-class transportation leader and trade-enabler, dedicated to building North America's safest, most inclusive and sustainable railroad. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic Intermodal, you will be responsible for performing major and minor repairs, overhauls and servicing on all types of vehicles, vehicle attachments and material handling equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel mechanics, as well as experience with hydraulic and electronic systems. You will also possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include paid training, competitive pay, and opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect, service and maintain Intermodal cranes, terminal tractors, vehicles and equipment, in accordance with federal and company regulations.
• Diagnose diesel / gas engine, electrical, hydraulic, driveline malfunctions and make required repairs.
• Use electric and oxy-acetylene welding equipment, lubrication equipment and other vehicle repair tools and equipment, and operate said tools and machinery in a safe and effective manner.
• Prepare inspection, maintenance, and work reports, and record details on prescribed forms in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED).
• Diploma of Vocational Studies in Heavy Duty Mechanic.
• Diesel mechanic, Automotive, Truck & Coach, Hydraulics experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Technical knowledge of diesel mechanics.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Possess your own tools sufficient to perform repairs and service on small equipment.
