Accounting Assistant Role in Hamilton, Ontario

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. This is a short-term contract opportunity with the potential for permanent placement.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the AP/Finance Department, including verifying and logging checks, sorting and filing invoices, and processing expense reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
  • Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
  • Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in accounting or finance is required
  • Experience with Sage 50 and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
Compensation:

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $24-$26 per hour, depending on experience.
