About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Commercial Sales to join our team at Westland Insurance Ltd. in Surrey, BC. As a key member of our commercial sales team, you will be responsible for leading a team of commercial account executives, providing oversight, and driving performance to achieve growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of commercial lines account executives, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to ensure adherence to growth processes.
  • Collaborate with the commercial servicing team to support client retention and deliver necessary account services.
  • Partner with the marketing team to ensure high-quality submissions to markets.
  • Engage with clients, prospects, and insurance partners to support account executives in delivering exceptional service.
  • Set individual goals, provide consistent performance coaching, and feedback, and identify and develop internal talent for future commercial segment roles.
  • Leverage software and applications to manage and convert leads.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years in commercial insurance account management and sales experience, plus minimum 3-5 years leadership experience.
  • Level 3 General Insurance License.
  • One of the CAIB, CIP, FCIP, or CRM designations.
