We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Specialist to join our team in Sault Ste Marie, ON.
About the RoleThis casual position involves working 2 shifts per month and requires the ability to prepare and administer specialized IV therapies, receive and review physician's orders, and perform patient assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and administer IV therapies;
- Receive and review physician's orders;
- Perform patient assessments;
- Initiate IV lines;
- Perform phlebotomy;
- Teach patients about self-injection techniques;
- Provide general health and medication education;
- Monitor patient conditions according to Coverdale Infusion Clinics Inc. standards;
- Supervise and support LPNs as needed;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 3 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in a hospital setting;
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current registration with the provincial licensing body;
- Excellent intravenous skills and training/experience in medication administration;
- BCLS certification;
- Able to read and interpret technical instructions and visually/auditorily observe clients;
