Deafblind Support Specialist

Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada is seeking a skilled Intervenor to support communication and day-to-day living for individuals who are living with dual sensory impairment. As a key member of our team, you will empower individuals to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Support individuals in their home and community environments.
- Use communication techniques to relay information and empower individuals to participate in daily activities.
- Assist with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives.
- Provide personal care as required, including lifts and transfers, toileting, and medication administration.
- Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or a related human services field.
- Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
- Communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
- A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
- A competitive wage starting at $23.03/hour.
