Seasonal Equipment Operator

Job Summary
The Seasonal Equipment Operator will be responsible for maintaining contracted assets through the operation and use of heavy equipment, particularly during seasonal needs. This position requires a high level of safety awareness and the ability to recognize hazards in routine and non-routine tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as snow plows, graders, and mowers to maintain roads and infrastructure
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and infrastructure
- Work in a team environment to achieve project goals and objectives
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in related construction, road maintenance, or commercial/industrial repair
- Valid Ontario Class DZ driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment
The Seasonal Equipment Operator will work in a variety of outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions. The employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
