Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Seasonal Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist to join our Ferrovial Services team. As a key member of our winter maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform duties of shift supervisor during the winter maintenance season, ensuring the effective management of resources and personnel.
  • Assist in the planning and organization of work activities, including the allocation of equipment and personnel.
  • Oversee work operations to ensure compliance with safety standards and contractual agreements.
  • Provide leadership and training to junior staff, including instructions on safety techniques and procedures.
  • Inspect work performed by contract staff and advise contractors of deficiencies.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the weekly, monthly, and annual work plan.
  • Liaise with property owners, the general public, and other stakeholders to promote good public relations and ensure compliance with Ministry and Ferrovial Services requirements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (Required)
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial/industry repair, maintenance, or landscaping (outdoor work) (Preferred)
  • Valid Ontario Class "DZ" Driver's License and MTO Operator's Permit, and acceptable driving record.
Work Conditions/Physical Demands

The employee is routinely exposed to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and frequent exposure to insects.
